The Birds - Watching Tour
Cameroon's geographical position in the heart of Africa, combined with the variety of its landscapes and habitats, give one of the most exciting and intriging birding in Africa. There are over 900 recorded species; some of which are rare and endangered.
In the north of Cameroon, you will find a good representation of sub-sahara birds, while you will find the rare and endangered species in the highlands and southwestern part of the country.
Luckily, most of the birds in the north can be found in the Benoué and Waza national parks.

Some of the birds you may find in the north are: the African Swallow-Tailed, the Black Scrub-Robin, the Chestnut-Bellied Starling, the Fox Kestrel, Herons, the Kite, the Lavender Waxbill, the Pygmy Sunbrid, the Red-Necked Buzzard, the Red-Pate Cisticola, the River Prinia, the Sennar Penduline-Tit, the Sudan Golden Sparrow, the Variety of Doves, the Adamawa Turtle Dove, the Crocodile Bird, the Grey-Headed Olive-Back, the Red-Throated Bee-Eater, the Red-Winged Gray Warbler, the Stone Partridge, the Violet Turaco, the African Black Duck, the African Golden Oriole, the Bamenda Apalis, the Blue-Breasted Kingfisher, the Brown-Chested Lapwig, the Double-Toothed Barbet, the Gray Kestrel, the Marsh Widowbird, the Olive-Bellied, the Oriole Warbler, the Red-Headed Lovebird, the Schlegel's Francolin, the Square-Tailed Drongo, the Sun Lark, the Temminck's Courser, the Thrush Babbler, the White-Breasted & Red-Shouldered Cuckoo-Shrikes, the White-Collared Starling, the Yellow-Crowned Bishop, etc.

In the highlands, you will find: the Bannermans Turaco, the Bannermans Weaver, the Banded Wattle-Eye, the Mountain Robin-Chat, the Cameroon Greenbul, etc.

And in the southwest, you will find: the Mount Cameroon Francolin, the Cameroon-Pigeon, the Mountain Sawing, the White-Tailed Warbler, the Cameroon Sunbird, the Black Dwarf, the Black-casqued, the Blue Cuckoo-Shrike, the Blue Throated Roller, the Forbe's Plover, the Forest Robin, the Green Breasted Bushrikes, the Green Longtail, the Grey-Necked Rockfowl, the Rachel's Malimbes, the Red-Billed Dwarf, the Red-Vented, the Serle, the Ursula's Sunbird, the White-Crested Hornbills, the White-Throated Mountain Babbler, the Woodhouse Antpecker, etc.
